The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has launched Ibram, a new digital platform for the electronic signing and verification of government documents.

The Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) has introduced Ibram, a centralised digital certification platform designed to streamline how government documents are sealed, signed and verified across the Kingdom.

The platform can be seen as the Kingdom’s answer to secure digital document execution, built specifically for the public sector.

Ibram’s core services

Ibram offers two core services:

According to SDAIA, more than 87 government entities are already benefiting from the platform’s services.

Why this matters

For anyone involved in Saudi government procurement or government-related transactions, the launch of Ibram is a significant development.

Contracting with Saudi government entities already involves a structured process governed by specific agreement guidelines and regulatory requirements. Ibram adds a further layer of reliability, providing greater certainty and transparency in the authentication of official documents throughout the contracting cycle.

These developments reflect a broader shift towards fully digital public-sector transactions across the Kingdom. Organisations engaged in, or considering, government procurement in Saudi Arabia should take the time to familiarise themselves with Ibram and its requirements.
